The Physiotherapist. My name is Zarina Abrahams. I qualified in 1998 at the University of the Western Cape with a BSc Physiotherapy degree. I am registered as a qualified Physiotherapist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. My field of interest is Neurology. (for a detailed explanation of Neurology, see the Information)

Treatment and conditions:

This Practice has a special interest in Neurology in both adults and paediatrics. In this area, the patient’s movement and function is predominantly compromised. At this point the Physio’s main focus would be to achieve the highest functional level. If it is walking, it would be broken up into various components. The patient would first be evaluated and after the evaluation, the physio would use the missing components and try to improve the movement. These are achieved through exercises and strengthening of weak muscle groups. This practice also does home visits, especially for clients who has Neurological involvement.
